We are in the process of relaunching our website, with a new address and an integrated learning portal. Each pupil will be able to log in to their class page securely to access resources.
A good school is one where pupils, parents and teachers work in partnership and where the real needs of children are met in a stimulating happy environment. Good communication is also a prerequisite in developing a good relationship between parents and the school. It is hoped that this website, albeit in a small way, contributes to the development of mutual understanding and co-operation.
The school was part of the Beacon School Programme (1999 - 2003) which the Government has since replaced.
Our Awards
Our work in Art & Display and Physical Education were particular strengths of the school and were promoted through the Beacon Programme. Since 2003 the school has been awarded Active Mark Gold for its Sporting involvement and it received the Healthy School Award (2004). In 2006 we also achieved the Arts Mark Gold. Our Admin Staff have been awarded the FMSIS accreditation.
In October 2009 we were awarded The Primary Geography Quality Mark Bronze Award by the Geographical Association (one of only two schools in Redcar and Cleveland to have achieved the accreditation). In 2011/12 we hope to gain Silver accreditation. We also hold the DCSF´s International School Award for Developing Internationalism through Modern and Foreign Languages in our school.
We are registered on the Next Generation Learning Charter demonstrating our school´s commitment to ICT.
In the summer term (2010) we received a glowing assessment that we were well and truly a ´Healthy School´ in all areas!

Nunthorpe Primary School is a busy and exciting place to learn. It is a place where parental support is valued and where children come first.
